Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The GEOX CASEY B Mary Jane School Shoes require minimal 'setup'.
- Unpack: Remove shoes from packaging.
- Adjust Fastening: Undo the touch-fasten strap completely.
- Insert Foot: Help your child slide their foot into the shoe.
- Secure: Fasten the touch-fasten strap, ensuring it is snug but not too tight, allowing for comfortable movement. The 'ultra quick' design means this process is straightforward for children to manage independently.
Compatibility
These shoes are primarily designed as school uniform footwear for girls, perfectly complementing various school dress codes due to their classic black Mary Jane style. Their robust construction also makes them suitable for everyday wear in casual settings where a smart, comfortable shoe is needed. They are compatible with standard children's socks and are designed for children with a regular foot width.
Care
To ensure longevity and maintain the appearance of your GEOX CASEY B shoes:
- Cleaning the Upper: For the synthetic patent upper, wipe regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. For stubborn marks, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by wiping with a clean damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners which can damage the patent finish.
- Scuff Marks: Patent material can show scuffs. Light scuffs can sometimes be buffed out gently with a patent leather cleaner or a tiny amount of petroleum jelly on a soft cloth.
- Sole Care: Clean the rubber sole with a brush or damp cloth to remove any embedded dirt or mud, which can affect grip.
- Insole Care: The removable leather insole can be taken out to air dry periodically, helping to maintain freshness and antibacterial properties. If it becomes soiled, wipe gently with a damp cloth and allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Drying: If the shoes become wet (beyond 'shower proof' conditions), allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can cause damage to materials.
