FAQs

Can these be worn in the water?

Yes, they are suitable for the beach or poolside, but the fabric straps will require air drying after being submerged.

Are these true to size?

Havaianas generally follow standard UK children's sizing; if your child is between sizes, we recommend sizing up to ensure a comfortable fit.

How do I remove sand from the fabric straps?

Rinse the straps under clean water and gently shake them. If sand is stubborn, use a soft, dry brush once the fabric has dried.

Are they machine washable?

We recommend hand washing only to protect the integrity of the fabric and the structural glue of the straps.

Is the sole flexible?

Yes, they feature the signature Havaianas flexible rubber construction which supports natural movement.

Troubleshooting

Strap feels tight or causes minor irritation

Ensure the feet are free of sand or debris. If the irritation persists, check that the sandal is the correct size, as the fabric may need a short 'break-in' period.

Sandals are slippery when wet

While the rubber outsole is grippy, ensure the footbed is wiped clean of soap or oil to maintain traction between the child's foot and the sandal.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Comfortable fabric-wrapped straps
Easy for children to put on independently
Signature high-quality rubber outsole
Versatile for beach, park, or indoor use

Cons

Fabric straps can trap dirt or moisture
Requires manual cleaning for the straps
Not suitable for rugged outdoor hiking

Setup, Compatibility & Care

These sandals require no assembly and are ready to wear immediately. To ensure your Havaianas last throughout the season, follow these care instructions:

Routine Cleaning: Wipe the rubber sole with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Fabric Care: If the fabric straps get wet or stained, gently hand wash them using a soft brush and mild detergent, then air dry away from direct sunlight.
Storage: Avoid leaving the sandals in hot, enclosed spaces like a parked car, as extreme heat can cause the rubber to warp.
Compatibility: These are designed for kids with a standard foot width. Always refer to your specific UK size to ensure the correct fit for growing feet.
