FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for serious trail running?

While inspired by trail-running heritage, the GEL-Nunobiki is classified as a lifestyle sneaker intended for daily casual use rather than technical off-road performance.

Can I put these trainers in the washing machine?

No, it is recommended to hand-clean these shoes to preserve the integrity of the synthetic layers and the GEL cushioning.

Is the sizing true to size?

Yes, the GEL-Nunobiki typically follows standard adult sizing. If you have wide feet, you may want to consider this when selecting your fit.

What is the inspiration behind the design?

The design is inspired by the waterfalls and natural landscapes of the Nunobiki mountain range in Kobe, Japan.

What makes the GEL cushioning unique?

The GEL technology is designed to provide effective shock absorption, reducing impact stress on the feet during movement.

Troubleshooting

Stiff upper during initial wear

Wear the shoes for shorter intervals during the first week to allow the synthetic layers to soften naturally to your foot shape.

Scuffs on synthetic overlays

Gently buff the area with a soft, clean cloth or a specialized sneaker cleaning eraser.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Asics GEL-Nunobiki trainers last, consider these tips:

Fit: These trainers are standard adult sizes; ensure you wear appropriate socks for your preferred fit.
Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dry dirt from the synthetic layers. For deeper stains, wipe gently with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid soaking the materials.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration of the synthetic finishes.
Lace Care: The transparent laces should be handled carefully during adjustment to avoid unnecessary stretching or snagging.
