FAQs

Is this jacket waterproof?

It is water-repellent, meaning it can handle light rain and snow, but it is not intended for heavy, sustained downpours.

Can I layer underneath the Northdale Jacket?

Yes, the relaxed fit is specifically designed to accommodate layering, such as a sweater or base layer, without feeling overly restrictive.

How should I clean my Moose Knuckles jacket?

Follow the interior care label. For down-filled jackets, professional cleaning by a facility experienced in technical down apparel is recommended.

What is the purpose of the two-way zipper?

The two-way zipper allows the bottom of the jacket to be unzipped, providing more legroom while sitting or walking.

Does the hood detach?

No, the hood is a fixed component featuring an adjustable drawstring for a customized fit.

Troubleshooting

Down feathers appearing on the surface

Small amounts of shedding are normal for down products; gently pull the feather back into the jacket from the inside rather than pulling it out.

Zipper feels stiff or catches

Ensure the zipper track is free of debris and consider applying a small amount of zipper lubricant specifically designed for technical outerwear.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Because this jacket features technical down insulation, maintaining its loft is critical to its performance. It is recommended to follow the manufacturer's care label specifically, typically requiring professional cleaning or gentle washing with specialized down detergent. Always ensure the jacket is thoroughly dried to prevent the down from clumping. When storing, keep the jacket in a cool, dry place and avoid compressing it under heavy items for extended periods. The ribbed knit cuffs should be kept clear of sharp objects to prevent snagging.
