FAQs
Are these trainers waterproof?
No, they are made from suede, which is a natural material that can be damaged by water. We recommend using a water-repellent spray.
Are they suitable for the gym?
While durable, these are lifestyle trainers meant for casual wear and are not designed for the rigors of heavy gym or sports training.
Do they fit true to size?
Yes, the Gola Tornado series is designed to fit consistently with standard UK adult sizing.
How do I best clean the suede material?
Use a suede-specific brush or a clean, dry eraser to gently remove debris. Avoid water and standard detergents.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
No, machine washing will permanently damage the suede material and may ruin the shoe structure.
What is the inspiration behind the Gola Tornado?
The design is inspired by 1980s terrace culture and retro archival footwear, focusing on a classic, old-school cool aesthetic.
Troubleshooting
Suede looks dull or matted
Gently rub the suede in one direction using a soft-bristled brush to lift the nap and restore the original texture.
Visible water spots
Lightly dampen the entire surface of the shoe evenly with a clean cloth, then stuff the shoe with paper and let it air dry naturally away from direct heat.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Gola Tornado Trainers maintain their look, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a specialized suede brush to remove loose dirt and dust. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners.
- Stain Treatment: For stubborn marks, use a light suede eraser. Do not soak the shoes in water as this can damage the suede texture.
- Protection: Apply a suede-safe water and stain repellent spray before first use to add a protective barrier against the elements.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
- Compatibility: These trainers fit true to standard adult sizing; ensure you select the UK size that matches your regular daily footwear for the best experience.
