Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Birkenstock shoes remain in top condition, keep them away from extreme heat sources, such as radiators, as this can damage the cork-latex base. When first wearing your new shoes, start with short sessions to allow the footbed to adapt to your stride. For cleaning, use a soft brush to remove dirt from the upper material and a slightly damp cloth to wipe down the footbed if necessary. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh detergents, as this can affect the structural adhesives.
