FAQs

What is the primary use case for the ASUS Vivobook Go 14?

The ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is best suited for everyday tasks such as web browsing, email, document creation, and media consumption. Its lightweight design makes it ideal for students and mobile users who need a portable device for light productivity.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage on this laptop?

The RAM (8 GB LPDDR5) is soldered on-board and is not upgradeable. The storage (128 GB UFS) is also fixed and not user-upgradeable.

Does this laptop have a touchscreen?

No, the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 (E1404TA-EB100WS) does not feature a touchscreen.

How long does the battery typically last?

The 180° lay-flat hinge allows the laptop screen to be positioned completely flat, making it easier to share your screen with others in a collaborative setting or for presentations.

Is the webcam privacy shutter a physical switch or software-based?

The webcam privacy shield on this model is a physical cover that slides over the lens, providing a definitive visual indicator that the camera is blocked and ensuring privacy.

What processor does this laptop have?

This model features an Intel® N N150 processor, which is designed for basic computing tasks and efficiency.

Troubleshooting

Laptop not turning on

Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet. If the battery is completely drained, it may take a few minutes of charging before it can power on.

Slow performance or unresponsiveness

Close unnecessary applications running in the background. Restart the laptop. Check for and install Windows updates and driver updates from the ASUS support website. Ensure the laptop is not overheating.

Wi-Fi connection issues

Restart your router and modem. Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the laptop. Update your Wi-Fi drivers. Forget the network and reconnect.

Webcam not working

Ensure the physical webcam privacy shutter is open. Check if the webcam is enabled in Windows settings and if the specific application has permission to access it. Update webcam drivers.

Display issues (flickering, dimness)

Check display settings in Windows. Update graphics drivers. If the issue persists, contact ASUS support as it may indicate a hardware problem.
