Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your new boots is straightforward. The dual pull tabs located on the collar allow for easy entry and removal. Simply grasp the tabs and pull to widen the opening before sliding your foot in. Ensure the laces are securely tied to achieve a snug, supportive fit. It's recommended to break in new boots during light training sessions before competitive matches to allow them to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Multi-Ground (FG/MG) soleplate, making them compatible with both firm natural grass (FG) pitches and artificial grass (MG) surfaces. This versatility means you won't need different boots for different pitch types, offering great value and convenience. Avoid using these boots on extremely hard ground, concrete, or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the studs and reduce their effectiveness.
Care
Proper care will extend the life of your boots and maintain their performance:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher grime, a mild soap solution can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can cause the material to crack or deform.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using shoe trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help retain their shape.
- Lace Maintenance: Periodically check laces for wear and tear and replace if necessary. Ensure they are clean to prevent dirt from entering the eyelets.
- Graphic Care: The unique Mbappé graphics are durable, but gentle cleaning is advised to preserve their integrity. Avoid aggressive scrubbing on detailed areas.
