Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Brooks Ghost AMP trainers, proper care is essential.
- Break-in Period: While comfortable out of the box, perform shorter runs for the first few outings to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: After runs in mud or heavy rain, remove surface dirt with a soft brush. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Avoid using a washing machine or dryer, as high heat can damage the midsole foam and adhesive components.
- Storage: Always store your shoes in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight to prevent the degradation of technical fabrics and materials.
- Replacement: Plan to evaluate the tread and midsole compression every 300 to 500 miles, as the cushioning and rubber grip will naturally wear down over time.
