Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your HOMCOM Kettle and Toaster Set is straightforward:
- Unpack: Carefully remove both the kettle and toaster from their packaging.
- Placement: Place the appliances on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface away from water sources and combustible materials.
- Power: Plug each appliance into a standard, grounded 220-240V AC electrical outlet. Ensure the power cords are not pinched or draped over hot surfaces.
- Initial Clean: Before first use, wipe the exterior of both appliances with a damp cloth. For the kettle, fill it with water, boil, then discard the water to remove any manufacturing residues.
Compatibility
These appliances are compatible with standard household electrical outlets (220-240V AC). Ensure your electrical system can support the wattage of both devices if used simultaneously, although they are generally designed for standard kitchen use.
Care
Proper care ensures longevity and optimal performance:
- Exterior Cleaning: Regularly wipe the exterior of both the kettle and toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Kettle Descaling: To prevent limescale buildup, especially in hard water areas, descale your kettle every 1-3 months. Use a commercial descaling solution or a natural remedy (e.g., vinegar and water solution). Follow product instructions for descalers.
- Toaster Crumb Tray: The toaster is equipped with a removable crumb tray. Pull out the tray, empty crumbs, and wipe it clean regularly to prevent buildup and potential fire hazards. Ensure the tray is fully reinserted before use.
- Storage: When not in use, store the appliances in a cool, dry place. Ensure they are unplugged.
