Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging and remove any protective films or ties.
- Placement: Place the kettle on its power base and the toaster on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or curtains, ensuring adequate ventilation.
- First Use (Kettle): Before first use, fill the kettle to its maximum level with cold water, boil, and then discard the water. Repeat this process twice to clean the interior.
- First Use (Toaster): Operate the toaster without bread on the highest browning setting for a few minutes. This will burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor is normal during this initial use. Ensure good ventilation.
Compatibility
Both appliances are designed for standard household electrical outlets. Ensure your local power supply matches the requirements specified in the product manual. > Info needed: [Specific voltage and wattage requirements for kettle and toaster]
Product Care
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces of both the kettle and toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Kettle Descaling: Periodically descale the kettle, especially in hard water areas, to maintain efficiency. Use a commercial descaling solution or a natural solution like white vinegar and water. Follow the descaler's instructions carefully.
- Toaster Crumb Tray: Regularly empty the crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before removing and emptying the tray. This prevents crumb buildup, which can be a fire hazard.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure both appliances are unplugged and cooled before storing. Do not wrap the power cords tightly around the appliances.
