Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure laces are threaded securely through all eyelets. Tighten them evenly to achieve a snug yet comfortable fit, starting from the toe and working towards the ankle. Double knot to prevent loosening during active play.
- Initial Wear: Have the child wear the trainers around the house for a short period to allow them to break in and conform to their foot shape before playing a full game or training session. This helps prevent discomfort and blisters.
Compatibility
These Sondico Blaze Astro Turf Trainers are specifically designed for optimal performance on astro turf (artificial grass) pitches. Their outsole pattern with moulded lugs is engineered to provide superior grip on these synthetic surfaces.
- Recommended: Astro turf, 3G, 4G artificial grass pitches.
- Not Recommended: Natural grass, firm ground, soft ground, indoor courts, or rough concrete, as these surfaces can lead to reduced performance, accelerated wear, or potential damage to the trainers.
Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your trainers:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove any loose dirt, mud, or debris from the upper and outsole using a soft brush or a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt on the synthetic leather, use a mild soap solution and wipe gently. Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Always allow the trainers to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources such as radiators, hair dryers, or direct sunlight, as this can cause the synthetic materials to crack, shrink, or deform.
- Storage: Store the trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. You may insert newspaper or shoe trees to help maintain their shape and absorb any residual moisture.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, sprinkle a small amount of baking soda inside the trainers and let it sit overnight, then shake it out. Ensuring trainers are fully dry after use also helps prevent odor buildup.
