Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces sufficiently to easily slide your foot into the boot.
- Fit Adjustment: Once your foot is in, tighten the laces evenly from toe to ankle. Ensure the boot feels snug but not overly tight, allowing for natural foot movement.
- Tongue Placement: Pull the fold-over tongue down over the laces for a clean striking surface.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: These boots are designed specifically for Firm Ground (FG) pitches, which are natural grass fields that are dry and firm. Using them on other surfaces (e.g., artificial turf, soft ground) may compromise performance, traction, and the longevity of the boots.
- Gender/Age: Designed for adult male players.
Care
Proper care is essential to maintain the performance and extend the lifespan of your leather football boots.
- Clean After Each Use: After every match or training session, wipe off dirt and mud from the boots using a soft brush or damp cloth. This prevents mud from drying and hardening on the leather.
- Refer to Product Label: Always check the specific care instructions provided on the boot's product label for any unique recommendations.
- Air Dry: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can dry out and crack the leather.
- Avoid Submerging: Do not submerge the boots in water, as this can damage the leather and adhesives.
- Leather Conditioning: Periodically apply a suitable leather conditioner or cream to keep the leather soft, supple, and prevent cracking. This is particularly important if the boots frequently get wet.
- Store Properly: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled newspaper inside to help them maintain their shape.
