Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Begin by loosening the laces fully. Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back.
- Tongue Adjustment: Pull the foldover tongue into a comfortable position over your instep.
- Tightening: Systematically tighten the laces from the bottom upwards, ensuring a snug but not overly restrictive fit. Double-knot the laces to prevent them from coming undone during play. Wear them for a short period around the house or during light training to allow them to mold to your foot before competitive matches.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or have loose soil. The conical and bladed studs provide maximum penetration and traction on these surfaces. They are not recommended for firm ground (FG), artificial grass (AG), or indoor courts, as this can damage the studs and compromise performance and safety.
Care
- Clean After Each Use: Remove excess mud and dirt immediately after playing. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the upper and soleplate.
- Stud Maintenance: Check the studs for any embedded debris or damage. Clean them thoroughly to maintain optimal traction.
- Drying: Do not dry boots near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can cause the material to crack or stiffen. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape, then allow them to air dry at room temperature.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage.
