Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces and slide your foot into the boot. The foldover tongue should sit comfortably over the laces. The Primeknit collar is designed to provide a snug fit around your ankle.
- Tightening: Begin tightening the laces from the bottom upwards, ensuring an even pressure across your foot. The laces should be secure enough to prevent excessive foot movement inside the boot but not so tight as to cause discomfort.
- Initial Wear: Wear the boots for a short period during practice sessions before a match to allow them to mold to your feet, especially if they are new. This will help you achieve the most comfortable and secure fit.
Compatibility
These adidas Predator League boots are Soft Ground (SG) specific. This means they are designed to perform optimally on natural grass pitches that are wet, muddy, or generally soft. The soleplate's stud configuration is engineered to penetrate these surfaces, providing maximum traction. Using SG boots on firm ground (FG) or artificial grass (AG) can lead to reduced performance, damage to the soleplate and studs, and may void any product warranty.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the lifespan of your boots and maintain their performance:
- Cleaning After Each Use: Immediately after playing, knock off any loose mud. Use a soft brush or cloth to gently wipe away remaining dirt from the upper, soleplate, and studs.
- Stubborn Dirt: For more stubborn mud, use a damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the synthetic materials.
- Drying: Always air dry your boots naturally at room temperature. Do not place them directly on radiators, in direct sunlight, or use a hairdryer, as extreme heat can cause the materials to crack or shrink.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape when not in use.
