The Kair Cowled Wall Outlet features a damper flap and a 125mm round rear spigot, designed for seamless integration with 125mm / 5 inch round ducting. The cowl is engineered to shield your property from driving rain and strong gusts of wind that could enter through the duct run. A convenient damper flap allows you to mitigate unpleasant odors, noises, or draughts flowing back into your space. The 5 inch / 125mm round male spigot on the grille's rear easily fits into comparable pipes and hoses, such as the Kair 125mm Round Female Duct Pipe (DUCVKC267) or 127mm flexible hose (DUCP0092/127/35). Constructed from high-quality Polystyrene/Polypropylene plastic, it offers a durable, wipe-clean design suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. This product complies with Part F Building Regulations and has had its airflow performance independently verified by BSRIA or BRE. It supports a Free Air capacity of 7200mm2 and has a static pressure drop of 4.72 Pa at 15 l/s and 17.18 Pa at 30 l/s, reaching 62.48 Pa at 60 l/s. Operating within a temperature range of +60c to -15c, it is easy to install with a simple push-fit connection for ducts and fittings. For a more permanent installation, consider sealing joints with silicone sealant or tape. It is ideally suited for ventilating bathrooms, kitchens, hydroponics setups, in-line extract fans, tumble dryers, cooker hoods, and as passive vents. Kair's 125mm / 5 inch (SYS-125) plastic rigid ducting is recommended for superior airflow and durability. Please note that the cowl may arrive with slightly bent sides, a design feature that facilitates initial removal for screwing the back plate to the wall. Once secured, the cowl can be refitted, and the sides pushed to engage the side wall clamps.
