FAQs

What type of solvent weld should I use?

Use solvent weld SC250 for all solvent weld joints with the FloPlast Boss Adaptor.

Can I take the joint apart if I make a mistake?

No, solvent weld joints are permanent and cannot be disassembled once the joint has been made.

What pipe sizes are compatible with this adaptor?

The FloPlast Boss Adaptor is compatible with 40mm and 43mm pipes and fittings.

Where can I use this boss adaptor?

This adaptor can be used to connect waste pipes into 110mm soil pipes and can also be used inside the boss shoulders of other fittings such as junctions.

Is any special preparation needed before using the adaptor?

Yes, ensure the pipes and fittings are clean and dry before applying the solvent weld.

Troubleshooting

Joint is leaking after installation.

Ensure the solvent weld was properly applied and the joint was held in place long enough. If the leak persists, you may need to replace the fitting.

Difficulty connecting the pipe and adaptor.

Make sure you are using the correct size pipe and that the ends are clean and free of debris. Use SC250 solvent weld to lubricate the connection and ease assembly. If the pipe is difficult to insert, try chamfering the pipe's edge.
