Yes, the 3-layer construction is designed to be fully windproof, making them suitable for exposed mountain ridges.
While the trousers are high-performance, wearing a base layer is recommended for moisture management and added warmth in cold temperatures.
The trousers are sized by UK dress size. Refer to the size guide to ensure a comfortable fit over your base layers.
Yes, they are suitable for snowboarding, hiking, and other outdoor winter activities where waterproof protection is needed.
The trousers feature taped seams, which provide high-level resistance against water leaking through the stitching.
The DWR finish has likely worn off. Wash the trousers with a technical cleaner and re-apply a DWR waterproofing spray.
Ensure you are using moisture-wicking synthetic or wool base layers rather than cotton, which traps sweat.
To ensure the longevity of your Cortina Extreme Trousers, store them in a cool, dry place when not in use. When cleaning, avoid harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as these can strip the durable water-repellent (DWR) finish. Use a technical wash designed for waterproof gear and, if necessary, re-apply a DWR spray periodically to maintain the 10,000mm waterproof performance. Ensure the waist is adjusted correctly before starting your run to prevent the trousers from sliding during high-intensity turns.
