Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use Setup
- Lacing: Before your first wear, ensure the boots are laced comfortably but securely. The zigzag lacing system, inspired by the Morelia Neo III, allows for a customizable fit. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up, pulling the laces firmly but not overly tight. Double knot to prevent untying during play.
- Initial Wear: Wear the boots for short periods around the house or during light training sessions to allow them to mold to your foot shape. While synthetic uppers generally require less break-in than natural leather, a short adaptation period is always beneficial.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: These boots are designed exclusively for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp. Using them on artificial turf (AG), hard ground (HG), or extremely wet/muddy surfaces is not recommended as it can damage the studs and outsole, and may void any warranty.
- User: These boots are designed for adult players and feature a unisex fit. Ensure you select the correct UK size for optimal performance and comfort.
Care and Maintenance
To maximize the lifespan and performance of your Mizuno Monarcida Neo III Select FG boots, follow these care instructions:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, remove loose dirt and mud by gently tapping the boots together. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the synthetic upper and soleplate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the material.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (like radiators or hairdryers), as this can cause the synthetic materials to crack or stiffen. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Using a boot bag can protect them from scuffs and scratches when transporting.
- ZeroGlide Sockliner Care: The removable ZeroGlide sockliner can be hand-washed with mild soap and water if it becomes dirty or retains odor. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting it into the boot.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the studs and soleplate for any signs of wear or damage. Promptly address any issues to maintain optimal performance and safety.
