Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen laces fully before putting on the boots. Insert your foot, ensuring the heel is snug against the back of the boot.
- Fit: Tighten the laces progressively from the toe upwards, ensuring a snug but not overly restrictive fit. The flat knit yarn closure and responsive lacing system are designed for an adaptable fit.
- Break-in: Wear the boots for short periods during training sessions before competitive matches to allow the FitKnit upper to mold to your foot for optimal comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are Firm Ground (FG) specific. They are designed for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and not waterlogged. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or soft ground (SG) surfaces can lead to premature wear of the studs, reduced performance, and potential injury. Always check the pitch conditions before use.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher grime, wipe the surface with a mild soap solution and a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect studs for wear and tear. Damaged studs can affect traction and lead to instability. > Info needed: [Guidance on stud replacement or professional repair for specific stud types if applicable. This model appears to have fixed studs.]
