The Britton Drive boots are made of premium leather and are not explicitly rated as waterproof; it is best to treat them with a leather protector spray.
Yes, the OrthoLite footbeds are removable and can be replaced if needed.
The lining can be cleaned by wiping gently with a damp cloth and mild soap; ensure the boots are completely air-dried before wearing.
Most users find these fit true to standard adult sizing, though if you plan to wear thick socks, you may consider a half-size larger.
The outsole is made of durable rubber, providing traction and longevity for daily wear.
They are suitable for mild winter conditions, but they do not feature heavy insulation for extreme cold.
Wear them indoors for short periods to allow the leather to flex and conform to your foot shape naturally.
Use a leather conditioner or cream polish specifically for black leather to buff out minor surface marks.
Remove the OrthoLite footbed, air it out, or replace it with a new insert if the cushioning has compressed significantly.
These boots arrive ready for wear, though users may find that the leather softens over the first few days of regular activity. To maintain the appearance of the black leather, it is recommended to use a leather cleaner and conditioner periodically. Avoid exposing the boots to extreme moisture or harsh chemical road salts, as these can degrade the leather finish. For storage, keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and use shoe trees to help the boots maintain their shape when not in use. Ensure the laces are tightened appropriately to support the ankle for maximum comfort during long walks.
