Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Proper preparation and care are essential for achieving the best results and longevity from your Crown Crafted paint.
Setup & Surface Preparation:
- Clean: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, and loose or flaking paint.
- Smooth: Fill any cracks or holes with appropriate filler and sand smooth. Remove any sanding dust.
- Prime (if necessary): For new, bare, or porous surfaces (e.g., new plaster, untreated wood), or if painting over a strong color, apply a suitable primer or an undercoat to ensure even absorption and optimal adhesion. This helps achieve the 'flawless' finish.
- Mask: Use painter's tape to protect adjacent surfaces, trims, and outlets you don't wish to paint.
- Ventilation: Ensure the area is well-ventilated during painting and drying by opening windows and doors.
Compatibility:
- Suitable Surfaces: This paint is designed for interior walls (e.g., plaster, drywall, wallpaper) and interior wood (e.g., skirting boards, architraves, doors, window frames).
- Not Recommended For: Exterior surfaces, floors, or surfaces subject to heavy abrasion or constant moisture without specific priming or top-coating (Info needed: confirm if this formulation can be used in bathrooms/kitchens with appropriate steps).
Care & Maintenance:
- Cleaning Tools: Info needed: [Provide instructions for cleaning brushes and rollers after use, likely with water].
- Surface Cleaning: For painted surfaces, gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners or scrubbing, as this can damage the delicate matt finish. Spot cleaning is recommended for marks.
- Storage: Store any leftover paint in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed to prevent drying.
