Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
1. Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces (walls, ceilings, wood) are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material. Fill any cracks or holes with a suitable filler and sand smooth. For bare or absorbent surfaces, or if painting over a strong color, apply a suitable primer or an initial mist coat of this paint diluted slightly with water (refer to product instructions for specific ratios).
2. Stirring: Thoroughly stir the paint before and during application to ensure uniform color and consistency.
3. Application Tools: Use a good quality synthetic brush for cutting in edges and a roller with a medium pile for larger areas to achieve the best flat matt finish. Apply in even strokes or rolls.
Compatibility
This paint is designed for interior walls, ceilings, and wood. It is not recommended for exterior use or for areas with consistently high humidity or heavy wear, such as floors or very active areas where scuffing is common.
Care
1. Cleaning Tools: As a water-based paint, brushes and rollers can be cleaned easily with warm soapy water immediately after use. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
2. Surface Maintenance: The luxurious flat matt finish is best maintained with gentle care. For marks, gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh scrubbing or abrasive cleaners, as these can "polish" the matt finish, creating shiny spots or damaging the paint film.
3. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed to prevent the paint from drying out.
