Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use & Fit
- Lacing: Ensure proper lacing for a secure, comfortable fit. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience pressure points or heel slippage. The shoe should feel snug but not restrictive.
- Initial Wear: Wear the shoes for short walks or light runs before committing to a long trail session. This allows the shoe to break in and your feet to adapt.
- Socks: Pair with performance running socks to prevent blisters and optimize moisture management.
Compatibility
- Trail Type: Best for varied trail conditions, including soft dirt, gravel, and moderate technical terrain. Its grip is reliable on most non-extreme surfaces.
- Runner Type: Ideal for neutral runners or those who appreciate a highly cushioned ride.
Care & Maintenance
The unique 'Velvet' material requires specific care to maintain its appearance and longevity, especially after trail use.
- Immediate Cleaning: After each run, especially on muddy trails, gently remove loose dirt and debris using a soft brush or cloth.
- Spot Cleaning: For stains, use a mild soap solution (e.g., diluted laundry detergent or shoe cleaner specifically designed for delicate fabrics) and a soft cloth or sponge. Gently dab and wipe the affected area. Avoid harsh scrubbing, which can damage the velvet pile.
- Rinsing: Lightly rinse with clean, damp cloth. Do not submerge the shoes in water or use a high-pressure hose.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape. Allow ample time for drying, as velvet can retain moisture.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid storing them in damp environments.
