FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running or intense workouts?
The Skechers Summits - Quick Getaway trainers are primarily designed for casual wear and light activities. They offer comfort and cushioning but may not provide the necessary support and stability for high-impact exercises like running or gym training.
How do I determine the correct size?
Refer to the Skechers sizing chart available on their website or from the retailer. The product information indicates this is a UK size 8.
Can I wash these shoes in a washing machine?
It is not recommended to machine wash these trainers. Hand cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap is the preferred method to maintain the integrity of the materials.
What is the benefit of the non-marking outsole?
A non-marking outsole is designed to prevent scuffs and marks on various indoor flooring surfaces, such as gym floors or dance studios, while still providing adequate traction.
How durable is the heathered jersey upper?
The heathered jersey upper is designed for breathability and comfort. It is suitable for everyday wear but may show wear and tear with prolonged use in rugged conditions.
Does the Memory Foam insole need to be replaced?
The Memory Foam insole is built into the shoe for long-lasting comfort. While it molds to your foot over time, it is not designed to be removable or replaceable by the user.
Troubleshooting
Shoes feel too loose
While designed for a relaxed fit, consider wearing thicker socks. If the looseness significantly impacts comfort or stability for your intended use, these may not be the ideal shoe for you.
Insole loses cushioning over time
The Skechers Memory Foam is designed to mold to your foot. If you feel the cushioning has diminished, try air-drying the shoes. For more persistent issues, consider a supportive insole insert, though this may affect the slip-on ease.
Slight odor develops
Ensure shoes are aired out regularly between wears. Use a shoe deodorizer spray or baking soda inside the shoes overnight. Follow recommended cleaning steps.
