Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Predator 24 Pro boots is straightforward:
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely before putting on the boots. Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is firmly seated.
- Adjust Fit: Begin lacing from the bottom, pulling each section to achieve a snug but comfortable fit. The lace closure allows for personalized tension across your foot. Avoid over-tightening, which can restrict circulation, or leaving them too loose, which can lead to instability.
- Break-in: New boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions initially to allow the Primeknit and HybridTouch 2.0 upper to fully mold to your foot's shape, maximizing comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This includes natural grass pitches that are dry and offer a firm playing surface. They are not recommended for use on artificial turf (AG) or soft ground (SG) pitches, as this can damage the boots' outsole and compromise your stability and grip.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or cloth. Wipe the entire surface with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning agents, as they can damage the synthetic materials. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap solution.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause the materials to crack or warp.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Insole Care: Remove the moulded sockliner periodically to allow the boots to air out and to clean any debris beneath it.
