Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
Installing your Reni Lamp Shade is straightforward, designed to fit most standard lamp holders.
- Ensure Power is Off: Before starting, always switch off the electricity at the mains for the light fitting you intend to use.
- Remove Existing Shade (if any): Carefully detach any current lamp shade from your pendant, floor, or table lamp.
- Position the Reni Shade: Align the Reni lamp shade with the lamp holder. Most lamp shades use a standard 'shade ring' or 'reducer ring' that sits over the bulb socket. Place the shade onto this ring.
- Secure the Shade: Tighten the shade ring or secure the existing fixture's retaining collar over the shade to hold it firmly in place.
- Install Bulb: Screw in your chosen light bulb (not included). Ensure the bulb wattage does not exceed the maximum recommended for your lamp fitting.
- Restore Power: Switch the electricity back on and enjoy your newly illuminated space.
Compatibility
- Lamp Types: Compatible with most ceiling pendants, floor lamps, and table lamps that use a standard lamp holder and shade ring.
- Bulb Type: Info needed: [Confirm specific bulb base compatibility, likely E27/B22 for general lamp holders.] We recommend an LED bulb for energy efficiency and longevity.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning Velvet Exterior: Gently dust the velvet with a soft, dry cloth or a lint roller. For light marks, dab gently with a slightly damp cloth, avoiding excessive moisture. Do not rub vigorously as this can damage the pile.
- Cleaning Gold Interior: Wipe the metallic gold interior with a dry, soft microfiber cloth to prevent smudges and maintain its shine. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Regular Dusting: Periodically dust the shade to prevent buildup and maintain its appearance.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or abrasive materials on any part of the lamp shade.
