Full details
The ASICS Gel-1130 GS trainers are designed for active kids who need a blend of classic aesthetics and reliable athletic support. Drawing inspiration from the heritage 2008 GEL-1000 series, these trainers offer excellent heel cushioning and structural stability for daily wear and play; however, parents should note that these are specifically engineered for youth biomechanics and may not provide the same level of adult-specific arch reinforcement.

FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
Yes, the GEL-1130 GS is designed for light running and active play, offering impact protection specifically for younger runners.
How do I ensure I get the right size?
Measure the child's feet in the afternoon when they are largest, ensuring there is a thumb-width of space between the longest toe and the front of the shoe.
Can the insoles be replaced?
Yes, the stock sockliners can be removed if you need to insert specialized orthotics for your child.
Are these unisex?
Yes, the GEL-1130 GS series is designed as unisex footwear, suitable for all children.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the structural integrity and the GEL components of the shoe; hand cleaning is strongly recommended.
Troubleshooting
Laces coming undone during activity
Use a double knot technique or replace with high-friction elastic laces for a more secure, permanent fit.
Interior odor development
Remove the sockliner after use to allow it to air out separately and use an anti-bacterial shoe spray if necessary.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
These trainers fit true to size for standard youth dimensions; ensure you have measured the child's foot with a pair of athletic socks on to guarantee the correct fit. To clean these shoes, remove loose dirt with a soft brush and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid machine washing or using high-heat dryers, as this can degrade the GEL cushioning and the adhesive used in the construction. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct sunlight to preserve the material integrity.
