Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Timberland boat shoes maintain their appearance and structure, follow these guidelines:
- Breaking In: Wear them for short durations indoors initially to allow the leather to mold to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Use a leather cleaner or a soft, damp cloth to wipe away surface dirt. Avoid submerging the leather in water.
- Conditioning: Apply a high-quality leather conditioner periodically to prevent the material from drying out or cracking.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Use cedar shoe trees to help maintain the shape and absorb moisture.
- Lace Maintenance: If the rawhide laces become stiff, you can lightly coat them with a leather-safe oil or conditioner.
