Setup, Compatibility & Care
These boat shoes require no specific setup beyond wearing them. They are compatible with most casual legwear.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe away dirt and debris with a soft, dry brush or a slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking the shoes.
- Conditioning: Use a quality leather conditioner specifically designed for smooth leather. Apply sparingly with a soft cloth and buff to a shine. This helps keep the leather supple and prevents cracking.
- Laces: Untie and remove rawhide laces before cleaning or conditioning. Condition laces separately if needed, or replace if worn.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Stuffing with shoe trees or paper can help maintain their shape.
- Water Protection: While the leather is durable, these shoes are not waterproof. Consider using a water-repellent spray for added protection against light moisture, but test on an inconspicuous area first.
