The George Home Flatweave Rug is an ideal choice for busy households seeking a blend of modern style and practical durability. Designed to withstand high-traffic areas through its robust machine-woven construction, this rug features an integrated anti-slip gel backing for added safety on hard floors. While it offers excellent value and longevity, users should note that its flatweave design provides a thinner profile compared to high-pile rugs, making it best suited for hallways, entryways, or kitchens rather than plush living room comfort.

While the gel backing provides grip, this rug is not specifically designed for high-moisture environments. It is best used in hallways, kitchens, or entryways.
Due to the integrated gel backing and the size, it is recommended to spot clean rather than machine wash to preserve the structure and adhesive properties.
No, this rug comes with a built-in anti-slip gel backing, so a separate pad is typically unnecessary.
The gel backing is designed primarily for hard floors like wood, laminate, or tile; it may not hold as securely when placed on top of existing carpeting.
The rug is made of durable materials suitable for everyday use; however, placing it in direct, intense sunlight for long periods may cause minor color shifts over many years.
Lay the rug flat and place heavy books or furniture on the corners for 24-48 hours to allow the fibers to settle.
Wipe the floor clean and ensure the back of the rug is free of dust or hair, as debris buildup can interfere with the gel surface's grip.
Use a mild detergent mixed with water and dab gently; do not scrub aggressively to avoid fraying the woven fibers.
Setup is straightforward: simply unroll the rug on a clean, dry floor with the gel-backed side facing down. For best results, ensure the floor surface is dust-free before placement to maximize the grip of the anti-slip coating. While the rug is hardwearing, it is recommended to rotate it every few months to ensure even wear across the fibers. For maintenance, a standard vacuum cleaner on a light setting is sufficient to remove dust. For spot cleaning, dab spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth; avoid heavy soaking of the backing material to ensure the anti-slip properties remain effective over time.
