Setup, Compatibility & Care
To maximize your Nike Lunar Roam experience and ensure its longevity, follow these guidelines.
First-Time Setup & Wearing
- Unlace: Fully loosen the laces to create ample space for your foot. This prevents unnecessary strain on the shoe's structure and ensures an easy entry.
- Insert Foot: Gently slide your foot into the trainer, ensuring your heel sits comfortably against the back.
- Adjust Laces: Start tightening the laces from the bottom (closest to your toes) upwards, ensuring even tension across your foot. The integrated Magwire cables will engage, providing targeted support. Adjust until snug but not overly tight.
- Tie Securely: Fasten your laces with your preferred knot. A double knot can prevent them from coming undone during activity.
Compatibility
- Age Group: Designed for adults.
- Gender: Primarily marketed for males, but suitable for anyone seeking the fit and style.
- Use Case: Best suited for urban environments, daily wear, casual outings, and light walking activities. Not recommended for intense athletic training, trail running, or heavy-duty sports.
Care Instructions
Proper care will keep your Nike Lunar Roam trainers looking fresh and performing well.
- Regular Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirt or dust from the mesh uppers and rubber outsole using a soft-bristled brush (like an old toothbrush) after each use.
- Spot Cleaning: For stubborn marks or stains on the mesh uppers or foam midsole, mix a small amount of mild soap (e.g., dish soap) with water. Use a soft cloth or sponge, lightly dampened with the solution, to gently wipe the affected areas. Avoid saturating the material.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use bleach, abrasive cleaners, or harsh detergents, as these can damage the materials and colours.
- Drying: Always air dry your trainers at room temperature. Stuff them loosely with newspaper or paper towels to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape. Never use direct heat sources like radiators, hair dryers, or tumble dryers, as high heat can warp materials, degrade adhesives, and cause discoloration.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can cause fading or material degradation. Keep them away from extreme temperatures.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove the insoles and allow them to air out separately. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle a small amount of baking soda inside the trainers overnight (shake out thoroughly before wearing).
