Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your jacket remains waterproof and effective, proper maintenance is essential:
- Washing: Use a technical cleaner specifically designed for waterproof gear. Avoid standard fabric softeners as they can strip the DWR finish and block the breathable pores of the membrane.
- Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators. If the water-repellent coating begins to fail, tumble dry on a low setting or follow the manufacturer's label to reactivate the factory DWR treatment.
- Compatibility: The jacket works well with base layers and light fleeces. The adjustable cuffs ensure that you can seal the jacket over or under gloves, depending on your preference for preventing water runoff from your arms.
