With an asymmetrical Overcurve upper, moderately stiff R4 sole, and a single Boa® closure, it's designed to suit a wide range of riders. The Tempo Overcurve R4 is created to deliver an essential timeless look, redefining classic road shoe considerations with a distinct Fizik identity and a smart, form-fitting construction. The Overcurve shoe construction features a staggered collar that wraps around the ankle, tracing the natural misalignment of the ankle's two bony protrusions: the lateral and medial malleoli. This results in an asymmetrical shape, with the throat of the shoe curving over the foot from its outside to its inner side. The closure is fast and secure, with a single micro-adjustable Boa® IP1 dial. The shoe also features a PU laminated mesh upper for enhanced ventilation and an ergonomic construction that conforms to the foot's anatomy. The R4 outsole is made of carbon-injected nylon, offering a balance between comfort and pedaling efficiency, making it a true all-rounder. It has a lower profile, structurally optimized with 15% infused carbon fiber, and provides efficient ventilation with internal channeling for effective temperature regulation. The cleat is positioned slightly further towards the heel compared to traditional placement to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression, especially suited for aggressively forward aero riding positions. The Tempo series is designed for the most enjoyable riding experience on paved roads, from the smoothest tarmac to demanding pavé.
