FAQs

Are these trainers waterproof?

These trainers are made primarily from leather and are not designed to be waterproof. While they offer some resistance to light moisture, they are not suitable for heavy rain or wet conditions.

How do I break in the leather?

Wear the trainers for short periods initially, gradually increasing the duration. The leather will naturally mold to your feet over time. You can also wear them with thicker socks to help expedite the stretching process.

Can I put these in the washing machine?

No, do not machine wash these trainers. Leather and memory foam insoles can be damaged by washing machines. Spot clean with a damp cloth and appropriate leather care products.

What is the heel height?

The heel height is flat, typically ranging from 1 to 3 cm, providing a stable and comfortable base.

What material is the upper made of?

The upper is primarily made of high-quality leather (70%), with nylon making up the remaining 30%.

Do these trainers come with extra laces?

Yes, the Hoff City Dopamine trainers include an additional pair of laces.

What is the benefit of the memory foam insole?

The memory foam insole adapts to the shape of your foot, providing personalized comfort, cushioning, and reliable support throughout the day.

Troubleshooting

Shoes feel too tight or uncomfortable

Ensure laces are loosened before putting on. The leather will stretch slightly with wear. Consider using thicker socks initially if a snug fit is preferred for break-in.

Leather appears dry or creased

Apply a quality leather conditioner specifically designed for footwear. This will restore moisture and help minimize the appearance of creases.

Soles have lost grip

Clean the outsole thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris that might be affecting traction.

Faint odor inside the shoe

Remove the insoles and air them out in a well-ventilated area. Sprinkle baking soda inside the shoe overnight to absorb odors, then shake out.

Care Instructions:

  • Leather Upper: Clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For deeper cleaning or to maintain the leather's suppleness, use a dedicated leather cleaner and conditioner. Avoid excessive water exposure.
  • Suede/Nylon Sections (if applicable): Use a specialized suede brush or eraser for any suede or nylon parts.
  • Soles: Wipe down with a damp cloth. Ensure any mud or debris is removed after use to maintain grip.

  • Laces: Machine washable on a gentle cycle or hand wash as needed. Replace if visibly worn.
