FAQs
Are these pants true to size?
Yes, they are designed with a relaxed fit based on standard waist sizing. If you prefer a baggier look, some users opt to size up.
Can I put these in the dryer?
It is not recommended. Heat can cause the cotton to shrink and may affect the raw-edge detailing. Air drying is best.
What does the raw edge mean for longevity?
Raw edges are a stylistic choice that adds character. Over time, they may fray slightly, which is a natural part of the aesthetic.
Is the material heavy-weight denim?
These are crafted from durable cotton denim, offering a balance between substantial protection and everyday comfort.
How do I remove stains without ruining the light wash?
Spot clean the area with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid rubbing vigorously to prevent localized fading or fabric pilling.
Troubleshooting
Fabric fraying too quickly around raw edges
Trim loose threads carefully with fabric scissors; do not pull them as it may compromise the stitch integrity.
Denim stiffness after washing
Use a gentle fabric softener during the rinse cycle or hang-dry to allow the air to naturally soften the fibers.
Zip fly sticking
Ensure no fabric is caught in the track and rub a pencil lead or bar of soap along the teeth to lubricate the mechanism.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Iconic streetwear design with unique appliqués
- Comfortable and spacious relaxed fit
- High-quality construction with durable branded rivets
- Distinctive raw-edge style elements
Cons
- Light wash denim requires careful color preservation during washing
- Raw edge design elements may fray further if not handled properly
- Relaxed fit may not suit those looking for slim or tapered silhouettes
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your ICECREAM denim pants last, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Washing: Turn the pants inside out before machine washing on a cold, gentle cycle to protect the appliqués and raw-edge patches.
- Detergent: Use a mild, color-safe detergent. Avoid bleach or strong chemicals that can fade the light wash.
- Drying: Air dry whenever possible by hanging the pants in a shaded area. High heat from a tumble dryer can shrink cotton and damage the integrity of the denim fabric.
- Storage: Hang the pants to prevent deep creasing. If storing folded, ensure the embroidered coin pocket signet is not being crushed by heavy items.
