The Neural Processing Unit (NPU) is dedicated to accelerating AI-specific tasks. This allows features like AI-powered video enhancements (Auto Framing, Background Blur) and content summarization to run efficiently and with lower power consumption, freeing up the main CPU for other operations.
It's a suite of security solutions designed for businesses. It provides hardware-enforced security, threat containment, and identity protection. Features include HP Sure Click, which isolates web browsing, and HP Multi-Factor Authenticate Gen3 for secure logins.
Wi-Fi 7 offers significantly faster speeds, lower latency, and improved reliability compared to previous Wi-Fi standards, especially in environments with many connected devices. This enhances performance for cloud applications, large file transfers, and video streaming.
This model has 2x SO-DIMM memory slots and supports a total of 32 GB of DDR5 RAM. It comes with one 1 TB SSD installed on an M.2 slot. While the RAM can be upgraded (if there's a free slot or by replacing existing modules), check HP's documentation for specific SSD upgrade compatibility and limitations.
The laptop comes with a standard 1-year manufacturer warranty. Batteries typically have a 1-year limited warranty. Optional HP Care Pack Services offer extended coverage and support.
The 14-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS display offers a sharp image with good color reproduction (62.5% sRGB coverage). The touchscreen is responsive, and the display features anti-glare coating and ambient light sensors for comfortable viewing in various lighting conditions, including outdoors.
While it has a capable Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and Intel® Graphics, this laptop is primarily designed for business productivity and AI tasks. It may handle some less demanding games, but it is not optimized for high-end gaming.
Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet. If the issue persists, contact HP support.
Verify you are within range of your Wi-Fi router. Restart your router and the laptop. Ensure Wi-Fi drivers are up-to-date. Check if other devices on the network are experiencing similar issues.
Restart the laptop. Ensure the screen is clean and dry. Check Device Manager for any errors related to the display or touch input device. If the issue persists after a restart, contact HP support.
Confirm that the specific AI feature is enabled in its respective software (e.g., Poly Camera Pro settings). Ensure all necessary HP software and drivers, including NPU drivers, are installed and up-to-date. Verify the feature is running on the NPU and not defaulting to the CPU.
Ensure the laptop's vents are not blocked. Use the laptop on a hard, flat surface. Close unnecessary applications running in the background. Consider using HP Power Manager to adjust performance settings.
