Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & First Use
- Lacing: Ensure the full lace-up front is snug but not overly tight. Start lacing from the toes upwards, pulling laces evenly through each eyelet. A secure lacing helps prevent movement inside the shoe, reducing blisters.
- Break-In Period: While comfortable out of the box, it's advisable to wear the shoes for shorter periods initially to allow them to conform to your feet before embarking on longer walks.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed for light to moderate outdoor activities. They are compatible with:
- Terrain: Paved paths, gravel trails, forest floors, and well-maintained hiking paths.
- Weather: Suitable for mild to wet conditions due to their waterproof nature.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning:
- Remove loose dirt with a soft brush after each use.
- For tougher grime, use a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents.
- For the suede sections, use a specialized suede cleaner and brush, following the product instructions.
- Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources.
- Waterproofing: Regularly re-apply a waterproof treatment suitable for suede and mesh materials to maintain the Weathertite membrane's performance.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area to prevent odor and mildew.
