Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unroll and Flatten: Upon unrolling, the rug may have temporary creases. Allow it to lay flat for 24-48 hours to settle. You can gently reverse roll the ends to speed up this process.
- Positioning: Place the runner in your desired location.
- Use of Rug Grip: For safety and to prevent the rug from slipping or bunching, especially on hard floors (wood, tile, laminate), it is strongly recommended to use a suitable rug grip underneath.
Compatibility
The Homemaker Maestro Vintage Runner's neutral grey color and vintage design make it highly compatible with a wide range of interior styles, from traditional to contemporary. It is suitable for any room in the home, particularly beneficial for high-traffic zones due to its robust construction.
Care & Maintenance
- Regular Vacuuming: Vacuum regularly using a suction-only setting (without a beater bar) to remove loose dirt and dust. For runner rugs, vacuum in the direction of the pile.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills and stains, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can spread the stain. For tougher stains, use a mild surface shampoo or a diluted rug cleaner solution, applying it to a clean cloth and blotting the stain. Always test cleaning solutions on an inconspicuous area first.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh chemical cleaners, bleaches, or abrasive brushes, as these can damage the polypropylene fibers.
- Professional Cleaning: For deep cleaning or stubborn stains, consider professional rug cleaning services.
- Rotate Regularly: To ensure even wear and tear, especially in high-traffic areas, consider rotating your rug periodically.
