Full details

The Shark BreatheClear Air Purifier is designed for homeowners and allergy sufferers looking for a low-maintenance, high-performance solution to improve indoor air quality. FAQs

How long does the filter actually last?

The NeverChange6 system is designed for up to 6 years of use under normal household conditions.

Does it remove viruses?

Yes, the system is rated to capture 99.98% of particles, including viruses, exceeding standard HEPA requirements.

Can I wash the main HEPA filter?

No, only the debris defence filter should be washed. The main HEPA filter is designed for long-term dry use.

Does the unit make noise when I enter a room?

If the air quality is poor or you are moving around, the purifier may increase its fan speed to filter the air more rapidly, which produces a slight increase in operating noise.

What colors are available?

The model is currently available in Beige, Green, and Grey variants.

Troubleshooting

The unit is not reacting to poor air quality.

Ensure the air intake and sensor ports are not blocked by furniture or curtains.

The display light is too bright at night.

The unit features automatic light detection; ensure the light sensor isn't being obscured by external light sources.

Performance seems sluggish.

Check and wash the debris defence filter if it appears clogged with dust or pet hair.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely long filter lifespan reduces ongoing costs and maintenance
High-efficiency filtration captures microscopic allergens and pathogens
Smart sensors eliminate the need for manual speed adjustments
Discreet operation with automatic light dimming for nighttime use

Cons

Larger footprint compared to entry-level air purifiers
Not intended for frequent relocation between rooms
Reliance on electronic sensors requires clear airflow around the unit

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup is straightforward: position the unit on a flat surface with at least 15cm of clearance on all sides to allow the sensors to function accurately. Upon first activation, the device will calibrate to the baseline air quality of your room. Care is minimal due to the NeverChange6 design; however, it is recommended to periodically vacuum the exterior air intake vents to prevent dust buildup. The included debris defence filter should be rinsed under cool water when the maintenance indicator light triggers, ensuring it is completely dry before reinstalling it into the housing.
