Product Information
Full details
The Muuto Rime Pendant Light is an ideal lighting solution for homeowners and designers seeking a minimalist yet characterful fixture that blends retro aesthetics with modern craftsmanship. Its primary benefit is the soft, diffused illumination provided by the sandblasted, hand-blown glass, which creates a warm atmosphere in dining areas or hallways; however, potential users should note that the glass requires careful handling and periodic dusting to maintain its semi-translucent finish.

FAQs
What is the material of the shade?
The shade is crafted from sandblasted, hand-blown glass.
Can I adjust the cable length?
Yes, the 400 cm cable can be adjusted during installation to suit your specific ceiling height.
Does it come with a light bulb?
Please check your specific retail package contents, as bulb inclusion varies by region; ensure you use a bulb compatible with the fixture's base and wattage ratings.
Is the Rime suitable for damp environments like bathrooms?
No, this fixture is designed for dry interior spaces and should not be exposed to excessive moisture.
How do I clean the aluminium components?
Wipe the aluminium parts with a soft, dry cloth; do not use chemical solvents that could strip the coloured finish.
Troubleshooting
Light appears flickering
Ensure the bulb is securely tightened in the socket and check that the electrical connection in the canopy is firm.
Surface marks on glass
Use a dry microfiber cloth to buff out light smudges. For stubborn marks, wipe with a lightly dampened cloth and ensure no residue remains.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Elegant, timeless design fits diverse interior styles
- High-quality materials provide a premium feel
- Diffused lighting prevents harsh glare
- Generous cable length allows for flexible mounting
Cons
- Sandblasted glass can show dust or fingerprints easily
- Smaller size may require multiple units for large rooms
- Requires professional installation for electrical safety
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician to ensure the fixture is securely mounted and wired according to local regulations. Given the 400 cm cable, ensure that excess cable is managed properly within the ceiling canopy. For maintenance, use a dry, soft cloth or a feather duster to clean the glass shade. Avoid abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the delicate surface texture of the sandblasted glass. If grease accumulates, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth using only water and dry immediately with a microfiber towel.
