Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen laces fully before putting the shoe on. Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is seated firmly against the back of the shoe. Begin lacing from the bottom, pulling firmly but not uncomfortably tight through each eyelet.
- Secure Fit: Ensure the laces are snug across the midfoot and arch, preventing any slippage. Double-knot the laces to avoid them coming undone during a race.
- Break-in: New spikes may feel stiff. Wear them for short warm-ups and drills before full-intensity sprints to allow the material to conform to your foot.
Compatibility
These spikes are specifically designed for track and field sprinting events. They are compatible with standard track surfaces (e.g., synthetic tracks). They are not suitable for grass, asphalt, concrete, or general cross-training.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, gently brush off any dirt or track debris from the upper and spike plate. For tougher grime, use a damp cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry completely at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store your spikes in a cool, dry place, ideally in a shoe bag to protect them from dust and damage. Keep them away from extreme temperatures.
- Spike Inspection: Regularly check the condition of the spikes. If they become dull or worn (Info needed: type of spikes used, if replaceable), they may need replacing for optimal grip and performance. (Info needed: if replacement spikes are included or available)
