Setup: Getting Started
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are tightened securely from bottom to top, providing a snug, personalized fit without restricting circulation. The regular fit design is intended to contour to your foot.
- First Use: It's advisable to break in your spikes during a few light training sessions before competitive use. This allows the shoes to adapt to your foot shape and for you to get accustomed to the feel of the spike plate.
Compatibility: Track Surfaces
These Adizero Prime SP 3 Strung spikes are designed for use on synthetic track surfaces. The six-pin configuration and rigid spike plate are optimized for maximum traction and power transfer on these specific surfaces. Using them on abrasive surfaces like asphalt or concrete can damage the spike plate and pins.
Care: Maintenance for Longevity
- Cleaning: After each use, gently wipe the textile upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and sweat. Use a soft brush to clean any debris from around the spike plate and pins. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing.
- Storage: Store your spikes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Using a spike bag can protect them from damage and prevent dirt from spreading to other gear.
- Spike Inspection: Regularly check the pins for wear or damage. While the full-length plate is designed for durability, ensuring pins are clear of mud or track debris will maintain optimal grip. Information on individual pin replacement for this specific model should be referred to adidas's official product support.
