FAQs
Are these sandals waterproof?
While they are suitable for water environments like the beach or shallow streams, they are not fully waterproof, but they are water-resistant and quick-drying.
Can these be machine washed?
It is recommended to hand wash these sandals with mild soap to preserve the structural integrity of the toe bumper and outsole.
Does the toe bumper protect against sharp objects?
The bumper is designed to absorb impact from rocks and roots, but it is not a safety-rated protective steel toe and should not be used as such.
Are these suitable for wide feet?
The adjustable strap provides a good degree of flexibility for different foot widths, though individual fit may vary.
What is the primary material of the sole?
The outsole is made from a combination of MD (Moulded EVA) and TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) for a balance of cushioning and grip.
Troubleshooting
Strap loses tension during play
Check the velcro or buckle mechanism for debris and clear it out to ensure a firm grip.
Sand trapped inside the sandal
Loosen the strap entirely, remove the sandal, and rinse under fresh running water to flush out grit.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Durable toe protection for rough terrain
- Excellent grip provided by the TPR outsole
- Easy adjustable strap for a secure fit
- Lightweight design promotes comfort
Cons
- Not intended for technical mountain climbing
- Material may hold onto sand if used at the beach
- Limited to kids sizing
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure a perfect fit, adjust the straps while the child is standing to account for weight distribution. These sandals are generally true to size. For cleaning, remove loose dirt by tapping the soles together. If they become muddy or sandy, hand wash using mild soap and cool water, then air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent the materials from warping or becoming brittle.
