Full details

The Trakker Sanctuary Slim Net Float is an essential accessory for carp anglers who want to keep their landing net maneuverable and elevated while waiting for a catch. It is designed for those who prioritize a low-profile setup, providing reliable buoyancy to prevent the net from sinking, though its slim 20cm length may not provide as much lift as bulkier, full-length alternatives for extremely heavy nets.

FAQs

What are the dimensions of the Sanctuary Slim Net Float?

The float measures 20cm in length and 3.2cm in width.

Will this fit any landing net?

It is designed with a universal, versatile fit that works with the vast majority of standard carp landing nets currently on the market.

Does it float heavy nets easily?

It provides excellent buoyancy for standard carp nets, though for extremely large or heavy nets, you may find the lift provided by this slim profile is more focused on stability than maximum buoyancy.

Is the material waterproof?

Yes, the outer cover is made from durable polyester, which is designed to be water-resistant and quick-drying.

How do I keep the elastic retainer in good condition?

Avoid overstretching the elastic unnecessarily and rinse off any grit or debris after your session to maintain its elasticity.

Troubleshooting

The float slips or shifts during netting

Ensure the Velcro strap is pulled tight around the spreader block and that the foam is positioned centrally.

Mesh still catching on debris

Check that the elastic net retainer is properly engaged and not overstretched; ensure the excess mesh is tucked neatly against the frame.

Float feels loose on the handle

The float is designed to fit the spreader block; if it feels loose, double-check that the Velcro is overlapping correctly to account for the specific girth of your net block.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Ultra-compact and lightweight design
Easy slide-on installation
Prevents snagging with built-in elastic retainer
Fits the majority of landing net brands
Stylish finish matches Trakker luggage range

Cons

Shorter than some alternative net floats
May provide less lift for oversized deep-mesh nets
Requires proper alignment for optimal security

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is straightforward: simply slide the float over the handle and onto the spreader block of your landing net. Use the integrated Velcro wrap to tighten the float securely around the block, ensuring the rubberised Trakker icon is facing outward for a professional look.

To ensure longevity, rinse the float with fresh water after each session to remove salt, silt, or algae. Allow it to air dry fully before storing it inside your net bag to prevent mold or odors from developing on the polyester cover. The material is robust but should be kept away from sharp hooks and excessive heat sources.
