FAQs
What type of batteries does this candle require?
This candle requires 2 x C type batteries, which are not included with the purchase.
How long do the batteries typically last?
Battery life varies depending on usage and battery quality. Using the 6-hour timer function will significantly extend battery life compared to the constant 'on' setting.
Is the candle safe to leave outdoors all year round?
Yes, the candle is fully weatherproof and IP44 rated, making it suitable for outdoor use in all seasons.
How do I activate the timer function?
The timer function is typically engaged via a switch on the base of the candle. Once activated, the candle will stay on for 6 hours and then automatically switch off for 18 hours before repeating the cycle.
Can I use this candle indoors?
While designed for outdoor use, it can be used indoors. However, it does not have the same safety features as a real candle and is not designed for indoor-specific safety standards.
What is the warranty period for this candle?
This product comes with a 12-month product guarantee.
How do I clean the candle?
You can clean the candle by wiping it gently with a damp cloth. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning materials.
Troubleshooting
Candle does not turn on.
Ensure 2 x C type batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge. Check that the 'On' or timer switch is in the correct position.
Timer function is not working as expected.
Verify that the timer setting is engaged. Ensure the batteries are fresh, as low power can sometimes affect timer accuracy. Check that the candle has not been exposed to excessive moisture which could interfere with the electronics.
Candle fills with water.
Ensure the drainage holes at the top and base are not blocked by dirt or debris. Gently clear any obstructions.
Light flickers weakly or inconsistently.
Replace the C type batteries with fresh ones. Low battery power can cause dim or inconsistent flickering.
