The Regatta Birchdale II Isotex 15000 Waterproof Jacket is a high-performance technical shell designed for adult men who engage in demanding hiking and outdoor treks. Its primary benefit is the Isotex 15000 waterproof and breathable fabric, which ensures complete protection against heavy rain while allowing for airflow during strenuous activity. A key caveat to note is that this is a technical shell; while it provides excellent weather defence, it is primarily designed as an outer layer and may require additional mid-layers for insulation in freezing conditions.

Yes, it is constructed with Isotex 15000 fabric and fully taped seams to provide high-level protection against rain.
Yes, but because it is a shell, you will need to wear insulating layers underneath to stay warm.
The jacket follows standard sizing. If you plan to layer heavily underneath, consider your usual fit, as the cut allows for moderate layering.
Wash it when it becomes dirty or if the breathability seems reduced. Use a specialized technical gear detergent.
The jacket relies on the breathability of the Isotex fabric, but you can increase airflow by adjusting the front zip and cuffs.
The jacket is made from high-quality, durable polyester designed for rugged outdoor use.
The DWR coating has likely worn off. Wash with a technical cleaner and reapply a DWR spray treatment.
This may be condensation from trapped body heat. Ensure you are wearing appropriate moisture-wicking base layers and manage your vents.
Check for debris or dirt in the zip teeth. Clean with a soft brush and consider a silicone zip lubricant if it remains stiff.
This jacket requires minimal setup; simply adjust the shock-cord hem and hood toggles to fit your body type before heading out. For compatibility, the generous cut of the XL size allows for layering underneath, though always check your under-layers to avoid bunching. To maintain the waterproof efficacy, wash the garment using technical gear cleaners that do not strip the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating. Always tumble dry on a low heat setting if the care label permits, as this helps reactivate the water-repellent properties of the fabric.
