Yes, because the current insoles are removable, you can often substitute them with custom orthotics, provided they have a similar profile.
The adjustable insole system provides extra volume, making them more accommodating, though specific 'Extra Wide' variants are available in the Birdie series for those requiring a specialized fit.
Wipe away loose dirt with a dry cloth, then use a damp cloth followed by a suitable leather cream to nourish the hide.
While leather is naturally water-resistant, these are not waterproof shoes. It is best to avoid heavy rain or puddles.
Most users find them comfortable immediately due to the soft leather; however, wearing them for short periods indoors first is recommended.
Remove the secondary insole hidden beneath the primary one to gain extra depth.
Apply a matching leather cream or polish and buff with a soft cloth to restore the natural sheen.
Air the shoes out for 24 hours between wears to allow the material to breathe.
To achieve the perfect fit, test the shoes initially with the double insole configuration. If the fit feels too tight across the instep or through the toes, remove the secondary insole located beneath the leather-covered top layer to increase volume. Regarding care, treat the leather upper with a high-quality leather conditioner or cream regularly to maintain suppleness and prevent cracking. Avoid submerging the shoes in water; if they become wet, allow them to air dry slowly at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent the leather from hardening.
