Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
The Continental CrossContact H/T tires should be installed by a qualified tire professional. Proper mounting, balancing, and inflation to the vehicle manufacturer's recommended pressure are crucial for optimal performance and safety. Ensure the tire size matches your vehicle's specifications.
Compatibility:
This tire is designed for SUVs and 4x4 vehicles. It is compatible with vehicles using combustion engines, hybrid powertrains, and electric vehicles (EVs). Available in a wide range of rim sizes, always confirm the specific tire model and size (e.g., 215/70 R16 100H) is appropriate for your vehicle.
Care:
To maximize the lifespan and performance of your CrossContact H/T tires, regular maintenance is recommended:
- Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure regularly (at least monthly) and before long trips. Inflate to the pressure recommended by your vehicle manufacturer.
- Tread Depth: Inspect tread depth periodically. Replace tires when the tread reaches the wear indicators.
- Rotation: Rotate tires every 6,000-8,000 miles to ensure even wear and extend tire life.
- Alignment & Balancing: Have your wheel alignment and tire balancing checked periodically, especially if you notice uneven wear or vibration.
- Cleaning: Clean the tires and wheels periodically with mild soap and water to remove dirt and debris.
