FAQs

What makes the Turanza 6 suitable for electric vehicles?

The Turanza 6 features lower rolling resistance, which directly helps to extend the driving range of EVs. It's also designed for quieter operation, complementing the inherently quiet nature of electric powertrains.

How does the Turanza 6 compare to the Turanza T005?

The Turanza 6 offers over 22% improved mileage and a 4% reduction in rolling resistance compared to the T005. It also boasts enhanced wet performance, achieving an 'A' grade in EU wet grip ratings.

Is the Turanza 6 good for all-season driving?

The Turanza 6 excels in wet conditions and is designed for year-round performance. However, for regions with heavy snow or ice, dedicated winter tires are recommended.

What is the expected lifespan of Bridgestone Turanza 6 tyres?

With over 22% improved mileage compared to its predecessor, the Turanza 6 offers an extended lifespan. Actual mileage will vary based on driving habits, road conditions, and proper maintenance.

How do I check the correct tire pressure for my vehicle?

Consult your vehicle's owner's manual or the sticker typically found on the driver's side doorjamb. Over or underinflation can negatively impact performance, safety, and tyre life.

Can I use Turanza 6 tyres on my SUV?

Yes, the Bridgestone Turanza 6 is designed for both cars and SUVs, providing the necessary performance and durability for a wide range of vehicles.

Troubleshooting

Increased road noise

Ensure tires are properly inflated and check for any uneven wear patterns. Road noise can also be influenced by road surface conditions.

Reduced fuel efficiency or EV range

Verify tire pressure is at the recommended level. Check for any foreign objects lodged in the tyre tread. Ensure the tyres are not significantly underinflated.

Vibration or shaking while driving

The tyres may require balancing. Consult a professional tyre service to have them balanced. Also, check for any damage to the tyre sidewall or tread.

Poor traction in wet conditions

This is unlikely given the tyre's design, but ensure tire pressure is correct and check tread depth. Significant wear can reduce wet grip.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Exceptional wet grip and handling capabilities.
  • Significantly improved mileage extends tyre life.
  • Reduced rolling resistance enhances fuel efficiency and EV range.
  • Optimized design for both ICE and electric vehicles.
  • Reliable control during emergency braking and cornering.

Cons

  • May be optimized for specific EV needs, potentially less suited for extreme off-road use.
  • Focus on efficiency and wet grip might mean a slightly firmer ride compared to comfort-focused tyres.
  • As a premium tyre, the initial purchase price may be higher.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Bridgestone Turanza 6 tyres are designed to be fitted by professional tyre technicians. Ensure the correct size (e.g., 215/60 R17 96H) and specifications are used for your vehicle. Proper inflation pressure, as recommended by your vehicle manufacturer, is crucial for optimal performance and safety.

Compatibility: This tyre is compatible with a wide range of passenger cars and SUVs. It is specifically engineered to meet the requirements of electric vehicles, but also performs exceptionally well on vehicles with internal combustion engines. Always confirm fitment with your vehicle's specifications.

Care: Regular maintenance is key to maximizing the lifespan and performance of your Turanza 6 tyres.

  1. Check Tire Pressure: Regularly inspect and maintain the recommended tire pressure.
  2. Visual Inspection: Look for any signs of damage, embedded objects, or uneven wear.
  3. Rotation: Rotate your tyres according to your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations to ensure even wear.
  4. Alignment: Ensure your vehicle's wheel alignment is checked periodically, especially if you notice uneven wear patterns.
